About the Center

The global-level Ural Interregional Research and Education Center for Advanced Production Technologies and Materials aims to unite the potential of education and research institutions in the real sector of Sverdlovsk, Chelyabinsk, and Kurgan Regions. The center receives competitive technologies and products to further commercialize them. Also, it provides training intending to tackle scientific and technological tasks to ensure groundbreaking development in priority areas and increase the competitiveness of the economies of the regions involved.

Ural Federal University initiated the establishment of the Center and functions as its project office.

President Vladimir Putin supported the idea of the establishment of the center during his visit to Ural Federal University in July 2019.
